It’s Spawning Season!

It’s finally May again, and we began tagging horseshoe crabs again for Project Limulus the week of the full moon.

Some Great News!
1) The Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department is staying away from the spawning areas with their beach rakes without our intervention this year.

2) So far, the animals we encountered have been super energetic and the numbers of dead horseshoe crabs found on the beach lower than last year.
